about

Based on the board game, Forbidden Island, © Gamewright Games. gamewright.com/product/Forbidden-Island

Forbidden Island, created by Matthew Leacock, challenges the player to steal treasures from an island that has been magically trapped. The whole region is slowly sinking, as you play. Every location is evocative, from the frightening Cave of Embers to the lonely Watchtower.

As such, it is the perfect game to inspire musical composition and AIM's game ensemble created a range of pieces that you may like to listen to, while you play.

In fact, these pieces are also designed to be used dynamically, in context, based on two Twines that were created during trimester. Please contact lecturer, Meghann O'Neill, @indiegames_muso on Twitter, if you'd like the Twines, too.

Special credit to Aditya Balasubramanian for creating an exceptionally detailed Twine which reacts to every tile in play.

Proceeds to $200 will be donated to The Australian Children's Music Foundation. acmf.com.au
